Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Lowbed Winch Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Lowbed Winch Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting heavy equipment to various work sites.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and Unloading Equipment: Safely load and unload heavy equipment, including excavators, graders, loaders, scrapers, dozers, rock trucks, tractors, and packers.
- Site Safety: Ensure loads are secure by utilizing chains, tarps, as required, and follow site safety rules and regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle as required, including daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks.
- Logistics and Administration: Maintain e-log books, field-level hazard assessments, and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner.
- Teamwork: Work with other members of the team in a professional manner to ensure we provide the best service possible to both internal and external clients.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year operating a tandem axle winch truck, loading/unloading and transporting heavy equipment with multi-axle (jeeps/boosters/trailers).
- License: Must have a valid Class 1 driver's license with Air brake endorsement - candidate to provide a clean 5-year commercial drivers abstract.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability, with experience operating winch tractor, wheeler trailer, and scissor neck trailers.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with heavy equipment within the oil and gas industry.
- Availability: Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends.
- Safety Certifications: Possess or be willing to obtain the following safety tickets: CSTS with OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO or CSO, Intermediate First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance II, Bear Awareness.
- Outdoor Work: Embrace the elements by working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Noise and Vibration: Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
- Long Hours: Must be able to work up to 12 hours a day.
- Remote Work: With a willingness to work in remote areas, you will experience a truly unique lifestyle on a rotational schedule, with accommodation provided.
CA$46.00 per hour based on experience.
