Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is a leading Canadian provider of supplemental education services since 1984.

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Education Director to join our team in Markham, ON.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses up to $5,000 annually.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will lead our centre's operations, overseeing the development and implementation of academic programs for students of all ages.

This role involves collaborating with teachers, staff, parents, and students to create a positive learning environment.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Inform prospective parents about our educational programs and services
  • Coordinate schedules for students, staff, and teachers
  • Develop and administer assessments to measure student progress
  • Create and implement student learning programs tailored to individual needs
  • Liaise with community stakeholders, including schools, sports teams, and local businesses
  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding their child's progress
  • Ensure that our centre adheres to the Oxford Learning philosophy
  • Foster a fun and engaging learning atmosphere on a daily basis
  • Lead and coach teaching staff in implementing the Oxford Learning Teaching philosophy

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in Social Sciences, Languages, Math, or Business (credits preferred)
  • Strong secondary school mathematics skills are an asset
  • Additional language proficiency (Cantonese) is an asset

In addition, candidates should have:

Desirable Experience
  • Work experience in an educational setting with medium to large student populations
  • Business background is an asset
  • Experience with billing cycles required
  • Proficiency in MS Office and online communication tools
  • Excellent phone skills and customer service experience (sales experience preferred)
