Collateral Risk Management Role

Manulife Global Derivative Services is responsible for all back-office functions that support derivative trading enterprise-wide, including both the General Account and 3rd party funds handled by Manulife and Manulife Asset Management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strengthening key control environments to ensure effective risk management.
  • Developing and managing working relationships with clearing broker back-office counterparts and custodian banks.
  • Supporting audit requests quarterly/yearly/ad hoc.
  • Updating or creating new process documents for all tasks relevant to the position and maintaining an internal database of all process documents.
  • Contributing to the gathering of data for quarterly metrics reporting to senior management.
  • Enhancing the capacity and depth of Global Derivatives Services to respond to the organization's current and future derivative collateral demands effectively and holistically.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant undergraduate education, with degrees in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred.
  • International Swap & Derivatives Association (ISDA) documentation and CSA's preferred.
  • Custodian/clearing broker operations, settlements, and associated reconciliations.
  • Strong technical skills in various Microsoft Applications highly preferred.
  • Solid organizational skills and a high degree of professionalism combined with the ability to readily adapt to rapidly changing environments and deal with competing priorities.
  • Great teammate with demonstrated experience building and maintaining good working relationships both internally and externally.
