About the Role:

S&P Global Dow Jones Indices is seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Solutions Architect to play a key role in the implementation and support of Platforms for S&P Dow Jones Indices. This individual must be delivery-focused with solid financial applications experience.

The successful candidate will assist in day-to-day support and operations functions, design, development, and unit testing. Key responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of database solutions using Postgres and other relational databases.

Key Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Lead the design and implementation of database solutions using Postgres and other relational databases.
  • Ensure database performance, security, and reliability; coordinate with application teams to define database design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives.
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices.
  • Oversee database maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Produce system design documents and participate in technical walkthroughs.
  • Perform application and system performance tuning and troubleshoot performance issues.

Salary:

$130,000 - $160,000 per year
