The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to work with a world-class organization, operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Maintenance Foreperson, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance personnel, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mine mobile equipment, and implementing cost-effective maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and repair plans for all mining equipment
  • Mentor and guide team members to improve performance and develop skills
  • Ensure the required manpower and equipment are in place to achieve planned production
  • Develop workshop standards and implement maintenance strategies to reduce risks and variations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A technical diploma or degree in Maintenance/Mechanics field
  • Valid Mechanical/Trades Licenses
  • Minimum 10 years of mine maintenance experience, including underground and surface equipment
  • Minimum 5 years in a maintenance supervisory role with experience mentoring and developing teams
  • Experience in conventional and mechanized mining
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP and/or Pronto
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
