About the Role

Dillon Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team. As an Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients in the development and implementation of environmental management plans and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental assessments and site investigations to identify potential environmental hazards and develop recommendations for mitigation and remediation.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and strategies to minimize the environmental impact of our clients' operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and scientists, to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into all aspects of our clients' projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on environmental regulations and policies, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including site inspections, sampling, and monitoring, to gather data and information to support environmental assessments and management plans.
  • Develop and maintain databases and records of environmental data and information to support decision-making and reporting.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and other documents to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies, including federal and provincial laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with environmental modeling and simulation software, including ArcGIS and ESRI.
  • Knowledge of environmental impact assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with environmental permitting and compliance.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, including English and French.
