Job Title: RN-PT (.7) 2C Cardiology/Medical Inpatient

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Unit at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including pre and post PCI, coronary artery disease, and cardiac catheterization.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Identify and respond to abnormal patient responses, taking appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
  • Manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously, prioritizing patient needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current certification in BCLS.
  • Recent experience in cardiovascular nursing, including care of complex patient populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Cardiovascular Nursing.
  • Recent experience with Cardioversion.
