Job Title: Plumber/Gas Fitter

At Horizon North, we are seeking a skilled Plumber/Gas Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing systems used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, lay out, and install plumbing components for construction, repair, and assembly of temporary and permanent buildings, additions, partitions, and wood structures and fixtures.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of plumbing systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance programs, including cleaning, for all plumbing, heating, and air conditioning, and air and vacuum related equipment.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Ensure the quality of all plumbing work performed meets company and/or contract standards.
Requirements:
  • Must be a registered Journeyman or Apprentice.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a current driver abstract.
  • 5 years of plumbing work experience in construction settings.
  • Working and practical knowledge of plumbing techniques and methods.
  • Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade.
  • Ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to team members and others.
  • Perform heavy manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45 lbs.
