Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Lead Technician to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for supervising designated staff, maintaining operating procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and decontamination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily work activities of staff, establishing work schedules and priorities, and communicating with other departments.
• Maintain timekeeping and payroll documentation, and perform related duties such as scheduling relief staff and arranging vacations.
• Evaluate employee performance, determine training and orientation requirements, and monitor compliance with Quality Assurance Testing.
• Provide input into the selection of staff, and oversee the setup and maintenance of the OR case cart system.

Requirements:

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain operating procedures and ensure compliance with infection control and decontamination standards.
• Experience in medical device reprocessing and sterilization.
