Job Summary: Shoreland Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Over-the-Road with 2 years to less than 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials, load and unload goods, and oversee vehicle condition. Proficiency in English is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive trucks safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate cargo information
  • Regularly inspect and maintain vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and other stakeholders
  • Record accurate cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling

Certifications and Licenses:

  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)

Communication and Navigation:

  • Operate GPS and other navigation equipment
  • Use trip recorder (on-board computer) to track progress and optimize routes

Security and Safety:

  • Pass a valid passport check
  • Meet bondable requirements
  • Pass a criminal record check
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Pass a driving record check (abstract)
  • Pass a drug test
  • Pass a medical exam

Transportation Information:

  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Will travel cross-border
  • Will travel for extended periods
  • Will travel internationally
  • Will travel overnight
