Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Technical Artist, you will play a key role in supporting our outsourcing teams, improving workflows and tools, and ensuring the efficient creation of high-quality game assets.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with outsourcing vendors, technical artists, and tools engineers to develop and implement efficient workflows and tools.
  • Work closely with teams to integrate work from RAW into Source and establish necessary testing, process, or tool improvements.
  • Identify and implement improvements to pipelines, workflows, and tools to support product goals and enhance efficiency, quality of life, and usability.
  • Evaluate the performance and budgets of content created in partnership with outsourcing vendors and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our workflows and tools.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Artist working on tools and pipelines.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing tools and pipelines on shipped console/PC titles.
  • Strong understanding of complex tool and pipeline architecture, with a focus on content creator-friendly workflows and scalability.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with at least one of the following pipelines: Environments, Character, Rigging, Animation, or Asset Management.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C#, C++.
  • Expert knowledge of 2D and 3D art packages and workflows, such as Maya, Photoshop, Substance, or Houdini.
