MNP, a leading national accounting, tax and business advisory firm in Canada, invites applications for a Full-Time Senior Accountant position. This exciting opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact on our Assurance & Accounting team.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a senior member, you will be responsible for conducting compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements. You will also set up files for new clients and manage multiple files simultaneously, performing accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition, and disposition, as well as payroll walk-throughs with clients.
Responsibilities:- Conduct financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for various clients.
- Establish and maintain client relationships, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Supervise junior staff members, mentoring and coaching them to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in business development initiatives, identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the growth of the firm.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant public accounting experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience working with accounting and tax software.
MNP offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a group pension plan with 4% matching, and paid vacation time.
