Job Overview:

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care while leading and mentoring healthcare professionals.

Salary:$35.87-$43.82/hour (Provisional Permit Holders) or applicable rate upon registration

Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse, you will utilize critical thinking skills to plan, assess, implement, and evaluate client-centered care. Exceptional communication skills are essential, along with the ability to develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

You will work independently, demonstrate leadership, and direct, supervise, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to other healthcare professionals. New Graduate Nurses are welcome to apply.

In this role, you will provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families, utilizing nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.

You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance, providing safe and quality patient-centered care that reflects the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • If not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years, completion of CRNA Medication Management - Chapters 1-4 and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification
