We're currently seeking a highly skilled Municipal Stormwater Peer Review Engineer to join our team of experts in stormwater management and development peer review services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified engineer to contribute to the growth and success of our Newmarket office.

  • The successful candidate will assist our Peer Review team with reviewing stormwater management / water resources aspects of proposed development applications and designs for compliance with design standards and guidelines.
  • Responsibilities will include:
    • Review of investigations, reporting and infrastructure designs related to stormwater management / water resources;
    • Assessment of hydrologic and hydraulic models, floodplain mapping, drainage plans, storm sewer designs, stormwater management facility designs and low impact development (LID) facility designs;
    • Water balance assessments and ensuring adherence to sound engineering practices.

This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Our ideal candidate will possess a post-secondary degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in land development design or municipal engineering.

A general knowledge of stormwater management design and modeling software such as PCSWMM, Visual OTTHYMO, MIDUSS, InfoWorks and/or HEC-RAS is also essential.
