We are seeking a qualified educator to join our team as an On-Call Teacher in the Vancouver Island North District. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and be able to adapt to a variety of classroom settings.
Key Responsibilities- Teach students in a variety of subjects and grade levels
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve educational goals
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Completion of a Bachelor of Education
- BC Teacher Certification or eligibility to become certified
- Recent successful teaching experience
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate students and adjust instructional strategies
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
- Experience with RTI systems and technology integration
- Ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices
The School District #85 (Vancouver Island North) offers a competitive salary range of $62,493 to $109,240, based on length of service and qualifications.
