About the Role

Civil Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Saint John, NB. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and planning civil infrastructure projects, including water distribution, wastewater collection and pumping, sanitary sewer systems, and stormwater management facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing detailed design drawings and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Provide technical leadership in project design, overseeing engineering calculations, refining design concepts, and ensuring project specifications align with client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct and lead site visits, field assessments, and infrastructure investigations. Provide technical guidance during construction, review contractor work for compliance, and support resident engineering services as needed.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and tender documents. Manage project deliverables, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to business development efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or related field) required, with a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil or municipal engineering, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, WaterCAD, PCSWMM, and ArcMap.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain attention to detail, and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
