Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at A&J SONS HOLDINGS INC. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to meet the needs of our customers and staff.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and direct the activities of our food service staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training to our staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required: Accurately estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize resources.
- Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
- Ensure Quality Control Standards: Monitor and ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards.
- Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates to ensure the efficient operation of our food service department.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints and concerns.
- Maintain Records: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on departmental performance and areas for improvement.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service management role.
- Work Site Environment: Noisy and hot work environment.
- Supervision: 11-15 people.
- Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses: Safe Food Handling certificate.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation and own vehicle.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and physically demanding work.
