Sushi Master

Nagomi Sushi is seeking a skilled Chef to join our team. With years of experience in the culinary industry, you will have the opportunity to create innovative recipes and lead a team of cooks in preparing high-quality dishes.

This is a full-time position that requires working on-site at one of our restaurants. As a Chef, you will be responsible for planning menus, ensuring food quality standards are met, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food. You will also supervise a team of 3-4 people and work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations.

• Create new recipes and innovate existing ones to maintain a unique dining experience
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to meet high-quality standards
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication
• Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods according to menu specifications
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards by sourcing fresh ingredients and maintaining inventory
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and safety

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a restaurant setting
• Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and fish/seafood specialties
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a team of cooks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
