Job Description

As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer at Providence Health Care, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining the organization's data infrastructure. This includes databases, warehouses, and pipelines, as well as ingesting, transforming, delivering, and sharing data for analysis. Your expertise will provide a robust foundation for data analytics, supporting operational and strategic decision-making at PHC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop data pipelines, warehouses, and reporting systems to address business operations and pressing operational and clinical challenges.
  • Migrate and move Data & Analytics platforms and applications to the Azure cloud environment.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional business requirements.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including establishing standards for development processes and technical requirements.
Requirements
  • Masters' Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • At least five (5) years' experience working as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, Business Intelligence Engineer, or Data Scientist with experience in Cloud platform, manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets.
  • Cloud certificates related to AWS or Azure preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated strength in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing with solid knowledge of various industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and optimize 'big data' data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of methods and techniques involved in Advanced Analytics, data mining, statistics, and optimization.
