Job Title: Roofing Specialist

Expert Roofing Ltd. is seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team. As a Roofing Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs on various types of buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on roofing techniques and best practices.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Estimate costs and materials for roofing projects.
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan roofing projects.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to roofs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand roofing project requirements.
Work Environment:

As a Roofing Specialist, you will work outdoors in various locations, including commercial and residential settings. You will be exposed to heights, noise, dust, and other environmental factors associated with roofing work.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing or a related field.
  • Ability to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Reliability and teamwork skills.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
