About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Communication Partner, Technology to join our team at Alberta Innovates. As a key member of our Health Platforms team, you will play a critical role in organizing, planning, and facilitating the intake for multiple programs, including AbSPORU, ACRC, IDEATE, and ARECCI. You will also be responsible for developing and training the clinical research management system, EDGE, and ensuring seamless exchange of information between stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, Health Platforms to lead and manage processes for designing, planning, and developing programs within Health Platforms.
  • Liaise and communicate with key stakeholder groups and networks to promote awareness and understanding of Health Platforms and encourage relevant knowledge exchange.
  • Monitor and report activities related to the development and implementation of programs to ensure timely and effective launch.
  • Manage the intake of all health platform programs, ensuring appropriateness of requests and referring and triaging individuals across programs.
  • Act as the EDGE Knowledge User (SME) for the province, supporting ongoing training, compliance with SOPs, and liaising with EDGE-UK.
  • Build custom fields and forms in EDGE to assist in project management and reporting.
  • Represent Health Platforms CRM, ensuring communication and consistency between CRM and EDGE.
  • Support AbSPORU and other programs as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health services administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in clinical health research, public health, health promotion, and/or health system and innovation in Alberta; understanding of regulations preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in working at the interfaces between research and related areas (academic, healthcare, policy sectors, and industry).
  • Experience managing external stakeholders and clients to co-develop and co-deliver opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, senior leaders, and external partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, reflecting ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks, competing agendas, and heavy client demands.
  • Tactful, diplomatic, and persuasive.
  • Strategic thinker and results-oriented, with ability to identify innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
