Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul



Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team at Tri Curtain Transport Ltd. As a Truck Driver - Long Haul, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities


  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.



  • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.



  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring the safe transportation of goods and materials.



  • Load and unload goods in a timely and efficient manner.



  • Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.



  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.



  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.



  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs as needed.



  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.



  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.



  • Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.





Requirements


  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)



  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)



  • Physical stamina to withstand the demands of long-haul driving



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team



  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities



  • Reliability and punctuality



  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)





Work Environment: This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular schedule. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Language: English



Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week
