At Equitable Life of Canada, we are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our Individual Insurance team. As an Intermediate Underwriter, you will play a critical role in risk assessment for life and critical illness products.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply strong underwriting expertise to assess medical, financial, and non-medical risk factors.
- Provide high-quality work consistently and manage daily volumes independently.
- Deliver exceptional client experiences and comply with legislative requirements and consumer regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of underwriting processes and procedures.
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
- Superior technical knowledge in medical, financial, and non-medical underwriting.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong reinsurance relationships and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and relationship skills.
