We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Exam Invigilator. As an Exam Invigilator, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our exams and assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Attend employer orientation workshops and mandatory employer training
  • Invigilate tests and exams
  • Maintain academic integrity by strictly adhering to the University's regulations, policies, and procedures regarding tests/exams
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and test/exam information
  • Distribute and collect exams
  • Label exam boxes and instructor tables
  • Assist students find their seat numbers
  • Assist instructors with attendance
  • Orient other invigilators to the venue
  • Invigilate exams
  • Set up exam rooms and keep test/exam rooms organized
  • Document any incidents during tests/exams and report incidents to professor
  • Prepare completed exams for pick-up/delivery
  • Any other duties assigned

Requirements

  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations effectively
  • Able to manage stressful situations with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Understanding of TMU test/exam policies and procedures
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
  • Ability to use tact/discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential situations

Qualifications

  • Previous evaluation of performance as an Invigilator at the University (if applicable)
  • Enrolled in: 1st or 2nd year of Masters, or any year of PhD
  • Greater preference will be accorded first to Doctoral candidates, then Master's candidates
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Be able to lift boxes weighing approximately 25 lbs
  • Able to stand/walk around large venues for extended periods of time
  • Past experience as an invigilator with TMU is an asset

Salary & Compensation

Exam Invigilator - $27.06 per hour

Total Hours of Work are not guaranteed, as we cannot predict the number of exams to be invigilated.

Shift times normally range from 7 am - 11:30 am, 11:30 am - 2:30 pm, 2:30 pm - 6:30 pm, and 6:30 pm -10:30pm during the exam period from December 4 to December 15, 2024.
