About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Jeranne Construction. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Construction
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervision
    • Supervise a team of 5-10 people
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Operate hand tools and other equipment
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure a safe working environment
  • Transportation/Travel Information
    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
    • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights
