We are seeking a skilled Intensivist to join our team at Hawkesbury General Hospital. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The ideal candidate will have experience in a Level 2 Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Care Unit, and possess skills in working with a multidisciplinary team and being open to an environment where quality improvement is a key feature of the daily work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality patient care in the ICU.
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Clinical Setting and Duties

Hawkesbury General Hospital's Emergency Department receives over 55,000 visits per year. Our hospital has a 6-bed Intensive Care Unit, a 38-bed Medicine-Surgery Unit, and an 18-bed Complex Continuing Care Unit.

Qualifications

  • Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (residents/fellows/FRCPC in internal medicine or other subspecialties).
  • Independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  • Valid ACLS certification or equivalent experience is strongly recommended.
