About the Opportunity
Aecon is seeking a highly skilled Plant Coordinator to join our Tunneling Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of tunneling excavation support systems, including TBM assembly, testing, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation and execution of tunneling excavation support systems, including grout plant, cooling water system, STP, tunnel piping, compressed air system, and other related systems.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Develop and coordinate TBM assembly schedules and tasks in conjunction with the TBM supplier.
- Maintain accurate records and logbooks of preventive maintenance and repairs of TBM and tunneling support systems and components.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans based on OEM maintenance plans.
- Prepare and submit purchase requests for parts, components, and services as needed.
- Assist the Plant Manager in preparing accurate monthly reports.
- Monitor the level of spare parts and consumables for all systems related to TBM and tunneling activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and a minimum of 3-4 years of experience working on a TBM project. You will also have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with heavy construction machinery, and experience developing methodologies to ensure compliance with scope of works, technical criteria, and safety standards.

- Experience developing methodologies to ensure compliance with scope of works, technical criteria, and safety standards.
- Demonstrated commercial experience, including planning up to 12 weeks ahead and weekly reporting on progress against plan and cost.
- Experience developing SHEQ processes and procedures and management of others in conducting SHEQ processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Suite, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
