About the Role

Pamal Trucking is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and Execution: Interpret welding process specifications and execute them accurately to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Metal Shaping and Assembly: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to shape and assemble metal components.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and perform minor repairs on welding equipment as needed.
  • Material Handling: Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal components.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks and high levels of hand-eye coordination required.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move metal components weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as needed.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week with occasional overtime as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Possess a trades certificate or diploma in welding or a related field.
  • Experience: Have at least 3 years of experience in welding or a related field, with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with colleagues.
