Job Summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a skilled Field Service Mechanic to join our team. As a Field Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment at various job sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including aerial lifts, telehandlers, skid-steers, compressors, and excavators.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and propane systems.
  • Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements, and other services.
  • Recondition and replace parts of heavy equipment as needed.
  • Operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps, and assorted tools and equipment.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports and repair logs.
  • Follow all company procedures and protocols.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Off-Road Certification/HET Red Seal in Heavy Duty.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience repairing aerial equipment.
  • Ability to work constructively under pressure.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative and strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills while maintaining a professional customer service-focused attitude.
  • Ability to be on-call every other weekend.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
Compensation

$44-46/hour.
