Chief Underwriter

We are seeking a strategic leader to manage underwriting services, optimize risk management, and drive profitable outcomes for Global Excel.

The successful candidate will lead the execution of core underwriting services, including data collection, reconciliation, and analysis processes. They will also collaborate with the finance team to analyze costing structures and develop effective pricing frameworks based on actuarial best practices.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Manage underwriting services to ensure accuracy in pricing, risk assessment, and claims analysis.
• Analyze costing structures and develop pricing frameworks to optimize customer contracts.
• Support senior management with strategic projects to enhance competitive position and profitability.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Degree in actuarial studies or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in actuarial, underwriting, and claims management within the insurance industry.
• 5+ years of leadership experience required.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analytics tools.
• Strong English skills (bilingual English/French if located in Québec Province).
