As an Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor at Petro Papa, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will supervise a crew of skilled technicians and be responsible for developing training plans to ensure they are competent to complete assigned tasks.
The ideal candidate will have five or more years of refinery maintenance experience, preferably in a unionized environment. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are also essential. Your strong communication skills and ability to deal with diverse stakeholders in a unionized setting will enable you to effectively manage competing priorities and contribute to a disciplined approach to safety.
This is a 50% / 50% office and Plant split position, requiring your visibility and presence in the field to foster employee engagement, communication, and assess work process effectiveness. You will be expected to hold monthly safety meetings, review and follow-up on items raised, and ensure remedial action is taken.
Responsibilities- Supervise maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of preventative and predictive maintenance plans.
- Develop and implement training plans to ensure maintenance technicians are trained and competent to complete assigned tasks.
- Ensure that a disciplined approach to safety is present in the maintenance group.
- Maintain a visible presence in the field to foster employee engagement, communication, and assess work process effectiveness.
- Hold monthly safety meetings and review progress with employees.
- Five or more years of refinery maintenance experience.
- Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Electrical or Instrumentation Certificate of Qualification or Engineering degree required.
