About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Garfield's Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Pipe Fitting and Repair: Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Testing and Inspection: Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges, and determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Estimation and Measurement: Estimate costs and materials, and measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Possess a Backflow Prevention Certification, Plumber Trade Certification, Working at Heights Training, Natural Gas License, Liquefied Petroleum Gas License, Plumber Red Seal Certificate, and Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically demanding, with the ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads.
  • Transportation and Tools: Own transportation, a valid driver's license, and a set of tools, including steel-toed safety boots.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Plumber is an asset.
