We are seeking an experienced Product Designer to join our team at TDG Transit Design Group Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative lighting solutions for the rail and public transportation industries.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs that meet or exceed customer requirements while being cost-effective. You will be responsible for generating new concepts and proposals for various customers around the world, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Design exterior and interior mechanical lighting systems for locomotive and rail passenger vehicles
- Produce detailed 3D models, general assemblies, and fabrication drawings using Solidworks
- Develop creative and innovative engineered solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely project delivery and high-quality results
- 2-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer in the transportation industry
- Advanced skills in SolidWorks and 3D modeling software
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC Machining, Sheet Metal, Metal, and Plastic Extruding
- Knowledge of GD&T and basic electronics/PCBAs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
