ALMAG Aluminum Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Millwright Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical, fluidic, welding, and plant equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a safe and organized manner.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and provide communication for repairs.
  • Share knowledge and train teammates on equipment functionality, procedures, and drawing mark-ups.
  • Come to rescue Operating personnel on equipment capability, limitations, and preventative measures to improve equipment reliability.
  • Participate in PM program including improving the program itself.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory through initiating purchase requests and organizing the inventory.
  • Troubleshoot Hydraulic systems including Pneumatic and Electrical circuits.
  • Repair, Overhaul, Fabricate, Assemble, and dismantle equipment using power tools, hand tools, machine tools, and welding tools.
  • Operate and maintain machine tools such as a Lathe, Milling machine, Drill press, and various cutting tools to fabricate machine parts to dimensional specifications.
  • Independently weld and fabricate in order to repair machinery and improve production.
  • Monitor equipment performance, document and evaluate potential problems for root cause solutions and improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement of equipment performance to improve efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with all plant personnel.
  • Comply with all ISO and quality-related policies, procedures, and system requirements.
