Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Installation Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a Fire Alarm Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure the safety of our customers and their properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and test fire alarm systems to ensure they meet industry standards and codes
  • Perform troubleshooting and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to design and implement fire alarm systems
  • Assist electrical contractors with installation and testing of fire alarm systems
  • Provide detailed reports and documentation of fire alarm system installations and testing
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician
  • Completion of a college diploma in Fire Protection or Electrical/Electronic or Licensed Electrician
  • Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or ability to obtain within one year
  • Working knowledge of provincial building codes and ULC standards S524, S536, and S537
  • Proficient in the use of computers and electronic test equipment
