We are seeking a skilled master woodworker to join our team at NPC NORTHLAND BUILDERS INC. as a carpenter.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities include reading blueprints, preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, erecting walls and roof systems, fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
