About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Cook to join our team at Brar Sweets & Restaurant. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that the kitchen and work areas are clean and organized.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and order equipment as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our kitchen staff to ensure that meals are prepared and served efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience: Willingness to train and learn is essential.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
