Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at IFG International Financial Group Ltd. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and decision-making through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reporting Process Optimization: Collaborate with subject matter experts to streamline reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights to stakeholders.
  2. Reporting Logic Development: Develop and maintain reporting logic using code (Databricks), automating standard reporting deliverables and exploring self-serve options.
  3. Visual Data Storytelling: Visualize datasets using PowerBI or Spotfire, creating standardized and ad-hoc reports to meet diverse business needs.
  4. Compliance and Training: Ensure compliance with reporting standards and train colleagues for independent reporting management.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Continuously enhance financial and operational data analysis, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 8 Years of Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, analytics, with a focus on automation and tool development.
  2. Cloud Data Platforms: Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Databricks.
  3. Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in SQL and either R or Python.
  4. Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Spotfire.
  5. Git and Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Git and cloud data platforms like Databricks.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's Degree: Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  2. Industry Experience: Experience working with financial or operational data in the energy industry.
  3. Certifications: Certification in relevant programming languages or data analytics tools.
