About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Zida Academy. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to maintain a tidy appearance
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, and upholstered furniture to prevent dust and dirt buildup
  • Distribute clean towels and toiletries to ensure a comfortable environment
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain hygiene standards
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other areas to prevent the spread of germs
  • Handle and report lost and found items to ensure a smooth operation
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean environment
  • Order supplies and equipment to ensure a well-stocked facility
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers to provide exceptional care
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations to ensure compliance
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR
  • Bondable
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Medical exam
  • Immunization records
  • Own transportation
  • Public transportation is available
