Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team at Goldfish Swim School - Ontario. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swimming lessons to children, while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver swimming lessons based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum, emphasizing fun and skill development.
  • Enforce pool safety rules and regulations, making rescues and administering first aid when necessary.
  • Evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure ongoing improvement.
  • Interact with parents/guardians, providing updates on students' swim skills and addressing any concerns.
  • Utilize problem-solving and creative thinking skills to address challenges faced by students.
  • Inspect pool areas before and after each class, reporting any maintenance, cleanliness, or damage issues to management.
  • Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment, including lane lines.
  • Report accidents and incidents to management, completing required documentation and paperwork.
  • Perform light cleaning duties, such as tidying the pool area and removing trash.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Current Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross or NL certification.
  • Current Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED certification.
  • Previous experience delivering high-quality swimming lessons is preferred.
  • Availability to work a minimum of two shifts per week.
