Technical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our Wealth Management Technology, Data Services Canada team. As a key leadership role, you will be responsible for providing expertise and oversight in building and maintaining highly efficient next-generation Data Management solutions portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with multiple project/program stakeholders to design and deliver scalable, high-performing reusable solutions leveraging databases.
- Provide thought leadership and technical direction while building and maintaining database solutions to ensure alignment with program needs and reference architecture direction.
- Design and implement database solutions, providing technical direction and resolving complex issues and conflicts.
- Lead a small technical team and provide guidance on database architecture, distributed data storage, and management principles.
- Develop and implement ETL solutions using IBM DataStage and custom ETL solutions.
- 10+ years of experience with enterprise-grade database systems such as SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, and distributed in-memory DBs like MemSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
- Strong technical knowledge of database architecture, distributed data storage, and management principles.
- Experience with ETL solutions, API-based solutions, and cloud technologies like OpenShift and Azure.
- Working knowledge of Snowflake, Clustering, and monitoring solutions using ELK.
- Proven experience in managing technical teams and guiding vendor teams.
