Postdoctoral Fellow in Cognitive Neuroscience of Auditory Brain Plasticity

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team at the Canadian Acoustical Association. The successful candidate will contribute to our research on auditory cognition, focusing on brain plasticity, hearing restoration, music perception, and the use of psychoplastogens for rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on brain plasticity in hearing-impaired and normal-hearing individuals.
  • Utilize behavioral methods, clinical evaluations, machine learning, eye-tracking, and electro-encephalography.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and refine experimental designs.
  • Contribute to writing grant proposals and research papers for peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Audiology, or related field.
  • Strong academic track record with peer-reviewed publications.
  • Expertise in brain imaging and statistical analysis.
  • Proven ability in applying machine learning algorithms to biosignals.
  • Experience in brain plasticity, auditory cognition, and neural prostheses.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Experience with psychoplastogens is advantageous.
