Healthcare Professional for Long Term Care

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Professional to join our team at RhynoCare in the Duncan area.
Job DescriptionAs a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.
You will also be responsible for ensuring timely and safe resident transfers and discharges, as well as maintaining accurate records of medication administration and resident care. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent degree
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to deal effectively with others in a supportive manner
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Long Term Care Act, Health Disciplines Act, Occupation Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act (Canada), Narcotic Control Act (Canada), Coroners Act, and British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives Standards of Practice
A strong understanding of resident rights and dignity is essential for this role, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to our organization's values.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position with consistent hours and a set schedule. The estimated salary for this role is $65,000-$80,000 per year, based on experience.
