Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at International Rubber Products Ltd. The successful candidate will assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, prepare design drawings and specifications, and carry out mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare design drawings and specifications for mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Carry out mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Estimate costs and materials for mechanical projects and prepare contracts and tenders.
  • Supervise maintenance programs and operation of mechanical plants to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing environment with a 30 to 35 hour workweek.

The primary language of work is English.
