The Junior Shop Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and driving sales growth. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop a high-performing team, while also maintaining a deep understanding of the business and its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Allocate 30% of your time to lead, develop, coach, and guide your team in establishing goals and developing their competencies that drive performance.
  • Culture Development: Support the development of a culture that balances financial results and an execution-focus with a fun, dynamic, and creative atmosphere.
  • Learning and Development: Foster an environment of continuous learning and development that embraces individuality.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist the Shop Director in developing innovative strategies that support business, brand, culture, and people growth, resulting in driving top-line sales.
  • Customer Experience: Understand the importance of customer experience and continuously create an unexpected and noteworthy experience.
  • Team Development: Support and build successful teams through clear, effective communication and development tools.
  • Succession Planning: Identify and develop your own successor.
  • Community Building: Actively build relationships within the city's social network via social programs, supper clubs, key relationships, shop events, etc.
  • Team Hiring: Assist in the hire and development of an exceptional team that is able to drive strategy and produce results.

Requirements:

  • Management Experience: 1-2 years of management experience in a fast-paced and highly flexible environment.
  • Education: An undergraduate business-related degree or diploma is an asset.
  • Leadership Skills: An emerging leader with documented success in leading projects and teams.
  • Visionary: A visionary with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Communication Skills: An exceptional communicator, both internal and external.
  • Relationship Building: A relationship builder in the city and neighborhood - a true connector - out and about building key relationships.
  • Initiative and Project Management: Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects at once.
