Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including a la carte items, to meet the needs of our guests.
- Monitor inventory control and maintain par stock levels to ensure efficient food service.
- Coordinate timely food service in the kitchen, ensuring that dishes are prepared and served promptly.
- Assist the Chef/Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including ordering products and maintaining proper cleaning procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring that their dining experience is positive and memorable.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chef/Supervisor.
- Minimum 2 years of culinary work experience or formal training, with strong food preparation, cooking, and presentation skills.
- Food Handlers Certification required.
- Smart Serve certification required.
- Emergency First Aid/CPR "B" Certification required within 6 months of employment.
- Knowledge of WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Ability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and a variety of early morning and late evening shifts.
- Light lifting required.
- Flexibility to work at various locations, including Q-Banquet, Living Art Centre, BraeBen Golf Course, and other locations as needed.
- Eligible for gratuity sharing.
- Hourly rate/salary: *Eligible for gratuity sharing*.
- Grade: PC.
- Hours of work: up to 24 hours.
- Work location: Various locations.
