Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist

About the Role:
A1 Sweets & Restaurant is seeking an Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist to join our kitchen team As an Ethnic Food Preparation Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods. You will also determine the size of food portions and costs, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to restaurant standards.
- Portion Control and Costing: Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure a smooth kitchen operation.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced kitchen environment
- Repetitive tasks and attention to detail required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
