We are seeking a skilled Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Country Grocer Salt Spring Island.
Job Summary:The Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operate a cash register, handling cash, credit card, and debit transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and checkout areas.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Participate in visual merchandising, including setting up displays and maintaining store displays.
- Assist with sales promotions and events, including setting up displays and promoting products.
- Provide advice and recommendations to customers on products and services.
- Process returns and exchanges in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail sales experience an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
