At Fed Finance Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Specialist to join our team.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This role will be responsible for ensuring the complete payroll cycle, including managing and maintaining the punch and time management system, maintaining employee files, and recommending projects to improve remuneration management practices.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating the company's health and safety activities, processing complaints at CNESST, and managing group insurance memberships.

In addition, this role will involve managing training needs, recommending training, and coordinating the organization of training sessions, as well as keeping informed of existing laws and government measures regarding remuneration.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the complete payroll cycle, including processing payrolls, managing benefits, and administering leave of absence policies.
  • Manage and maintain the punch and time management system, ensuring accurate recording of employee hours worked.
  • Maintain employee files, including up-to-date records of employee personal data, job history, and performance reviews.
  • Recommend projects to improve remuneration management practices, including developing and implementing new policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the company's health and safety activities, including conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures.
  • Process complaints at CNESST, ensuring prompt and fair resolution of employee grievances.
  • Manage group insurance memberships, including ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing support to employees.
  • Manage training needs, recommending training programs and coordinating the organization of training sessions.
  • Keep informed of existing laws and government measures regarding remuneration, ensuring compliance and advising management accordingly.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in compensation and benefits administration, preferably in a large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop recommendations for improvement.
