About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Banking Director to join our team at NBC. As a key member of our Commercial Banking and Private Banking sector, you will be responsible for growing our portfolio of business clients and developing business opportunities in your market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase your commercial client base, and establish business development strategies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Help your clients attain their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services.
  • Financial Analysis: Meet clients' changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and advice/approaches.
  • Negotiation and Risk Management: Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients, while making sure that they meet risk management standards and profitability criteria.
  • Business Planning: Draw up business development plans and assist the Regional Vice-President in reaching objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work with the Manager – Financing Solutions and actively participate in various networking activities.
  • Teamwork: Work in synergy with all the other departments of the Bank.
About the Team

You will join a team of professionals that supports business clients and be surrounded by an ecosystem of specialists, like financing solutions managers, who will help you offer the solutions that best suit our clients' needs.

Reporting to Regional Vice-President, you will manage a portfolio of clients covering a specific region.

Our training programs use on-the-job learning to help you master your role and provide access to personalized training content on topics such as banking solutions and the advisory approach.

Requirements
  • At least 5 to 9 years' experience in business development within the financial industry.
  • University certificate and 9 years' experience.
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience.
  • Master's degree and 5 years' experience.
  • Experience in sales and business development.
  • Experience in analysis of financial statements.
  • Experience in commercial credit.
  • A network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large companies, an important asset.
